Beacon Services of Connecticut is one of the state's largest providers of home-based Early Intervention specialty services. We are a dynamic organization, providing families throughout the state of Connecticut with increased access to the highest quality services based upon evidenced based practices.
Beacon Services of Connecticut is currently seeking a Developmental Therapy Associate (DTA) who will be responsible for the implementation and daily oversight of home-based interventions for young children and their caregivers.
Responsibilities will include working with licensed staff on the completion of initial assessments, developing and supporting individual child goals and objectives, and developing and supporting teaching procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Human Services, Special Education, Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis or related human services field
- At least one (1) year of experience working with children
- ABA, RBT or early childhood experience a plus!
- Must have personal vehicle to travel between clients’ homes and schools
Skills:
- Strong Communication Skills to confidently explain information and converse with families
- Organizational Skills to effectively process, implement and teach programs
- Self-Confidence to take the initiative to approach families
- Achievement motivated to work with families to set and achieve realistic goals
Working Conditions:
- Home based services - will require travel to various types of homes within an assigned region
Work Hours:
- Competitive hourly rates!
- Sessions occur between 8:00am and 7:00pm
- Monday through Friday
