Position: Data Migration Specialist
Location: Onsite - Austin, TX
Duration: 4 Months (Approx. - 864 Hours)
Job Description:
Understands business objectives and problems, identifies alternative solutions, performs studies and cost/benefit analysis of alternatives. Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing computer system: Confers with personnel of organizational units involved to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, and learn specific input and output requirements, such as forms of data input, how data is to be; summarized, and formats for reports. Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer program. Reviews computer system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling limitations to determine if requested program or program change is possible within existing system.
Required/Preferred skills
- Database management systems, workflows and data migration, with a strong emphasis on healthcare EHR systems in developing scripting, extracting data in hL7 format and mapping to target systems.
- Experience in Oracle Cerner Millennium database, Cerner Command Language (CCL) data extraction scripting, crucial for the efficient migration of data to new SaaS platforms.
- Business analysis, including reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating user requirements, operational procedures, and identifying solutions to automate processes or enhance system functionality.
- Experience in EHR application domain, understand current system and create workflow analysis, developing work flows, design, programming, and support using software engineering practices.
- Experience in documenting process flows and standardizes existing and future process flow improvements by conducting data collection and meetings with the subject matter experts to gain full understanding of system usability and documenting the workflows.
- Preparing specifications for data input/output processes. Resolving complex data-related issues using robust analytical skills and logical problem-solving approaches.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills, essential for producing clear project documentation and engaging effectively with stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of current IT industry trends and market insights, applying them strategically within the organization.
- Architectural concepts, principles, and tools relevant to infrastructure, information systems, applications, and organizational structure.
- Resolving complex data-related issues using robust analytical skills and logical problem-solving approaches.
- Strong interpersonal abilities to lead diverse teams and inspire high productivity and collaboration among team members.
