Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced IT Security Analyst 4 to support the Virginia State Police (VSP). The role focuses on Security Operations with expertise in Vulnerability Management, Penetration Testing, Incident Response, and Identity Access Management (IAM). This is not an entry-level position; strong technical and stakeholder engagement skills are required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead security operations including vulnerability management, incident response, and penetration testing.
- Conduct application and endpoint penetration testing; document findings and remediation recommendations.
- Evaluate application, infrastructure, and configuration changes for security compliance.
- Manage resolution of vulnerabilities in collaboration with IT, System Owners, and vendors.
- Assess security posture impacts from new systems, interfaces, or discovered vulnerabilities.
- Conduct annual password audits and user access reviews.
- Implement and advocate for Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC) practices.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation and desk procedures.
- Act as a point of contact for security compliance and technical queries from stakeholders.
