Position: Oracle PLSQL Developer

Duration: 04 Months

Location: Tallahassee, FL.

Minimum Qualifications:

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

1. 7 years experience with Oracle databases with the capability to write complex queries and develop complex PL/SQL database objects, including both DML and DDL.
2. 5 years experience developing Oracle Forms
3. 3 years experience with database and/or SQL performance tuning
4. 3 years experience performing in the capacity as a full-stack developer
5. Experience developing application reporting, preferably with PHP and/or Classic ASP 3.0
6. Experience using code repositories, preferably Git
7. Experience using continuous integration tools, preferably Jenkins
8. Knowledge of relational database designs
9. Knowledge of Information Systems Development Methodology (ISDM)
10. Experience with database query tools (i.e., TOAD, SQL Developer, SQL Navigator)
11. Knowledge of database security, including role-based security
12. Knowledge and experience with Unified Modeling Language (UML)
13. Ability to effectively communicate with both technical and business resources and translate business needs into effective technical specifications
14. Ability to conduct research into application development issues and products.
15. Ability to understand the needs of multiple stakeholders.
16. Ability to prepare reports, correspondence, guidelines, and Power Point presentations.
17. Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
18. Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
19. Excellent interpersonal, collaborative, oral and written communication skills.
20. Ability to write technical, business, and plain language documents and/or emails with great attention to detail in all written communications.
21. Ability to work on multiple projects as a project team member, occasionally as a project leader.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

1. Oracle certification(s)
2. Familiarity with Agile development, specifically Scrum, Extreme Programming (XP) and Kanban.
3. Experience in web development leveraging XML and CSS
4. Experience with jQuery (JavaScript library) or other JavaScript frameworks (such as AngularJS, NodeJS, and React)
5. Experience with environmental regulatory business processes and practices
6. Knowledge and understanding of DEP s technical environment
7. Ability to be creative, to use sound judgment, and to display foresight to identify potential problems and design/specifications and assigned application software systems
8. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
9. Ability to work independently
10. Ability to determine work priorities and ensure proper completion of work assignments
11. Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines without sacrificing quality
12. Excellent interpersonal, collaborative, oral and written communication skills

Education:

Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other Information Technology major, or equivalent work experience.

Compensation:

Compensation for roles at Beacon Systems Inc depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, BeaconGov provides reasonable range of compensation for this role.
