We are looking for a Solutions Architect- Washington, DC. The position details are as follows.
Position: Solutions Architect
Location: Washington, DC
Duration: 12 Months with possible extension
Job Description:
Required Skills:
- 12 years of experience in Enterprise Architecture, Cloud Architecture, or Technical Leadership roles.
- Direct experience with OHS Head Start Program is highly preferred.
- Proven track record in designing and deploying cloud-based architectures using Azure or Google Cloud for government or large-scale enterprise systems.
- Extensive experience in transitioning systems from monolithic to microservices-based architectures.
- Hands-on experience with API design, system integration, and microservices deployment in complex environments.
- Experience in leading teams through DevOps practices, leveraging CI/CD pipelines for rapid, reliable deployments.
- Proven experience in Healthcare and grants related projects for ACF, HHS, NIH or other Federal Health agencies.
- Expertise in Java, React, Node.js, Spring Boot, and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).
- Strong knowledge of cloud services (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud), including security, scaling, and optimization techniques.
- Proficiency in API development, data integration, and implementing enterprise-grade solutions.
Education Qualifications
Bachelor s/Masters Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master s preferred).
Certifications
AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
Certified Enterprise Architect (TOGAF or Zachman Framework).
Responsibilities:
- Lead the architectural design and modernization of ACF's IT-AMS, transitioning from monolithic to microservices-based architecture.
- Define and implement cloud-based solutions using Azure and Google Cloud for hosting, scalability, and security.
- Ensure system compliance with FISMA, NIST SP 800-53, and other federal regulations.
- Integrate cutting-edge technologies such as Java, React, Node.js, Spring Boot, NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB) into existing systems.
- Develop scalable, resilient, and secure APIs and data integration solutions to ensure seamless interoperability across systems (e.g., IT-AMS, HSES, and CLASS ).
- Create solutions for automated reporting, data validation, and real-time data analytics to improve the efficiency of monitoring tools.
- Collaborate with OHS stakeholders, business analysts, and developers to understand user needs and translate them into technical solutions.
- Provide technical guidance to development teams, ensuring adherence to architectural best practices.
- Design and implement secure architecture that adheres to government regulations on data privacy, including the handling of PII and CUI data.
- Ensure FedRAMP compliance for all cloud services and maintain an Authority to Operate (ATO).
