Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating room by assembling necessary surgical instruments and supplies.
- Maintain a sterile environment before, during, and after surgical procedures.
- Assist the surgical team during operations by passing instruments and providing support as needed.
- Ensure the proper handling and disposal of surgical instruments and materials.
- Monitor the patient's vital signs and prepare them for surgery under the supervision of the surgical team.
- Maintain accurate records of surgical procedures and assist in inventory management of surgical supplies.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control policies and procedures.
- Valid Certification as a Surgical Technologist from an accredited program.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a surgical setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, techniques, and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with the surgical team.
- Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations during surgeries.
- Commitment to patient safety and adherence to ethical standards in healthcare.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including surgeries on weekends and holidays.
