Job Description : Network Technician

Location : Farmington, CT

Schedule : Sundays and Mondays Overnight work, starting March 2nd, 2025

Project Duration : 3 Months

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Network Technician to assist with a network upgrade project at a facility in Farmington, CT. This role involves hands-on work with network equipment, focusing on cabling, racking, and dressing patch cords. The project requires a reliable professional with experience in network infrastructure tasks to support an aggressive rollout schedule.

Responsibilities :

Perform closet refreshing tasks, including un-patching and re-patching cables into new network switches.
Dress and organize patch cords to ensure proper functionality and neatness.
Assist with removing old network equipment and transporting it to a central location on campus.
Collaborate with the lead engineer and on-site team to support cutover activities.
Ensure all work aligns with project standards and timelines.

Qualifications :

Experience with network closets including cable management and patching.

Familiarity with dressing patch cords and best practices for rack organization.

Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently or as part of a team.

Physical capability to handle equipment removal and relocation.

Must be able to pass a security clearance and obtain required badging for site access.

Schedule Details :

Work will occur two nights per week, Sundays and Mondays.

Shifts align with the cutover schedule, requiring availability for night work.
