Summary:
The Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting the Manager of Internet banking with servicing individual retail customers. This involves performing a variety of duties to ensure quality customer service, achievement of objectives, efficient and effective operations and compliance with all bank policies and procedures. This position supervises and leads the Team in the absence of the Manager.
This is a non-remote, onsite position based in our Plano, TX headquarters.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities (Include but are not limited to):
- Management responsibility for the Client Services when the Manager is not available
- Ensure efficiency of team and assists with training of personnel.
- Manages customer service objectives, including handling exceptions, complex issues, and complaints; monitoring and coaching of personnel. Handling of disciplinary action in a timely manner as needed.
- Performs and supervises day to day operational and compliance functions such as reconcilements, audits, reporting, controls, records management, approvals and opening/closing procedures.
- Motivate and encourage employees and ensure they have appropriate knowledge of all bank products.
- Participates in personnel decisions as appropriate, including hiring, scheduling, disciplinary actions and evaluating performance.
- Performs other job-related duties or special projects as assigned.
- Proficiency with 10 key touch, Microsoft Office and banking software applications.
- Demonstrated good attendance and punctuality.
- Strong attention to detail with high concern for data accuracy.
- Customer service orientation with effective problem-solving abilities and the ability to maintain composure and convey a positive attitude while interacting with customers and internal team members.
- Outstanding listening and communications skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of or ability to quickly learn banking products, services, policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines
- Developed critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, follow directions and apply proper policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Excellent organizational skills with proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities and projects in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and deadlines.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; ability to motivate and achieve results through working together.
Qualifications (Education, Computer Skills, Certifications, Etc.):
- Minimum 5 years banking experience, with a minimum of 1 year in a management or supervisory role.
- 2-3 years customer service experience.
- Online account processing and call center experience is highly desired
- Adaptability to change.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
