What are the responsibilities and job description for the FNP Residency Facilitator position at Beal University?
Beal Universtiy is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner Residency Facilitator for an on-site skills component of an MSN Family Nurse Practitioner program. The Residency Facilitator will be a contracted position and will be on-site at Beal University in Bangor, ME for three 8-hour days in June. They will assist students in practicing clinical skills and procedures, and evaluate a head-to-toe assessment skills check-off. The Residency Facilitator is expected to communicate with the remote course faculty via email, phone, and/or Teams prior to and throughout the residency.
Qualifications Required
- MSN FNP degree from an accredited institution
- Active FNP certification and licensure as a nurse practitioner in Maine
- 5 years recent practice as a nurse practitioner
- Comfortable teaching and evaluating clinical skills including: suturing, excision, I&D, and advanced physical assessment techniques
Preferred
- Doctorate degree
- Previous teaching or preceptor experience
