Learn even more at www.beallsinc.com/beallsinc/careers Merchandise Planner The Merchandise Planner is responsible for driving and achieving sales, profit and turn objectives by developing strategies in collaboration with their business partner to maximize a business category. They will be able to navigate ambiguity and react quickly to business needs. They must be a strong analytical thinker. The Merchandise Planner will report to a Merchandise Group Planner or Divisional Planning Manager. E XPECTATIONS FOR SUCCESS - Develop plans to achieve the business objectives including sales, inventory, markdowns, gross margin and turn. Manage plans pre and post season. - Read and react to business weekly and re-forecast plans in season. Develop actionable strategies with business partners to maximize sales and gross margin. - Work independently and cross functionally; be able to influence merchant partners to implement strategies. - Create Pack-away plans and manage inventory releases to ensure speed to market action based on product productivity. - Analyze weekly sales, generate reports, while reading and reacting to business as needed to meet and improve financial objectives. - Travels to stores and competition consistently to evaluate create actions that maximize sales and profit by category of business. - Fosters collaboration and sharing of ideas and resources across divisions and functional areas. - Development and coaching of Assistant Planner to support career growth trajectory and strategic business initiatives. - Partnership with Exclusive brands upfront purchasing sku count direction. - Oversee auto replenishment items performance and guide Assistant Planner in performance KPI’s and in stock rates.
