We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our grocery store, providing exceptional service to our customers while efficiently handling transactions. You will play a crucial part in ensuring a positive shopping experience by assisting customers with their purchases, answering inquiries, and maintaining a well-stocked and organized environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with their shopping needs.
- Operate cash registers accurately and efficiently, processing transactions and handling cash.
- Maintain knowledge of store products and promotions to assist customers effectively.
- Stock shelves and ensure that products are displayed neatly and organized.
- Address customer inquiries with professionalism and courtesy, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette when necessary.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and inviting store atmosphere.
- Assist in inventory management by reporting low stock levels or product discrepancies.
- Promote sales and special offers to enhance the customer shopping experience.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Proficiency in operating cash registers and handling cash transactions.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with a broader customer base.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in stock levels and transactions.
