Beam Distributing is seeking a hands-on, self-motivated Warehouse Manager to take ownership of our warehouse and distribution operations while relentlessly pursuing a culture of continuous improvement. We prioritize character over experience.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee all warehouse functions, including but not limited to inventory control, order fulfillment, shipping/receiving, and quality assurance.
- Continuously refine and optimize processes to improve warehouse efficiency, reduce waste, and deliver exceptional customer satisfaction.
- Troubleshoot all warehouse issues to develop the root cause, resolve the issue, and refine processes to prevent recurrence.
- Allocate resources to meet daily operational needs.
- Negotiate shipping rates with carriers
- Utilize NetSuite WMS, Microsoft 365, and ShipHawk to manage inventory and streamline logistics.
- Set clear performance expectations and provide constructive feedback
- Provide leadership, guidance and training in all warehouse functional areas, including shipping, receiving, warehousing, cycle counting, and material handling
- Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics with vendors and carriers.
- Manage all warehouse resources, shipping supplies, equipment, and other consumables, including minor facility maintenance while staying within budgetary standards

- A self-starter with strong leadership abilities who can motivate a team, drive efficiency, and lead by example
- The ideal candidate will take initiative, set the pace for the team, and ensure warehouse operations run smoothly
- Hands-on management style with a willingness to be involved in daily operations
- Prior experience in a warehouse or distribution environment preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, up to 50 pounds, on a regular basis.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse policies, procedures, and logistics best practices.
- Experience leading process improvement projects
- Proven ability to hold teams accountable and drive high performance.
- Strong problem-solving, leadership, and strategic decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and warehouse systems.
- Forklift certification and experience operating warehouse equipment
