Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Teacher to join our educational team. This role is essential in supporting lead teachers in implementing effective teaching strategies and ensuring that all students receive the attention and resources they need to thrive.
Duties
- Assist lead teachers in the development and implementation of curriculum and lesson plans tailored to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Support students in their daily activities, including classroom management, behavior management, and individual learning support.
- Work with students with special needs, including those requiring special education services or accommodations.
- Foster a nurturing environment that encourages social, emotional, and academic growth among all students.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Collaborate with teachers to assess student progress and provide feedback on individual performance.
- Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance skills in early childhood education, Montessori methods, and behavior management strategies.
Requirements
- Experience working with students in an educational setting is preferred.
- Knowledge or experience in special education practices is a plus.
- Familiarity with Montessori principles or similar educational philosophies is desirable.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is beneficial.
- Strong skills in curriculum development and lesson planning tailored for early childhood education.
- Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively while promoting positive interactions among students.
- A background in toddler care or early childhood education is highly valued.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset are essential for this role.
