ROVING MASTER TEACHER- Full-Time Position

Location: Varies – Assigned based upon program needs

Hours: 8.0 hours per day Monday - Friday

Salary:

Master Teacher: $30.47 to $34.28/hr. (approximately $63,380 to $71,308 annually)*

• Starting pay for this position is the beginning of the pay range.

Definition:

Fills in during the absence of center staff or as additional staff when there is a need or as assigned. Supervises and instructs children enrolled in preschool and/or childcare programs. Is responsible for the supervision of an Instructional Assistant and care of children in a group as assigned. The position includes working with children ages 2-3.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: AA/As Degree in ECE/CD or related field and 2 units adult supervision; or 24 ECE/CD units plus 16 GE units and 2 units adult supervision; or BA/BS Degree in ECE/CD or related field and 3 units supervised field experience in ECE/CD setting.

• 
  Credential: Current Master Teacher Child Development Permit or higher, issued by California Teacher Credentialing.

• 
  Experience: Applicants must have one (1) year experience working as an ECE teacher including lesson planning and child assessment.

• 
  Certification: Current Infant/Child/Adult CPR and Pediatric First Aid as well as Health, Safety and Nutrition in the child care setting course.

Other Requirements:

• Must have a Clean Motor Vehicle Record, a valid CA Driver License, Registered and Insured Vehicle.
• Fingerprint and criminal clearances required.
• Pre-employment physical, TB clearance, current measles and pertussis vaccines required.
