Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our team at a vibrant restaurant. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and a smooth dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.
This position currently needs someone for every other Friday and Saturday night. There will be opportunities for added shifts once our patio is open for the spring/summer season.
Pay: $14/hr plus tips
Duties:
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Escort guests to their assigned tables and provide menus
- Assist guests with any inquiries or special requests
- Bussing, cleaning and resetting of tables - Food running when available - Manage waitlist and seating arrangements to ensure efficient table turnover
- Collaborate with support staff, waitstaff and kitchen staff to ensure smooth dining experience
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host station
- Answer phone calls for reservations, to go orders and general questions
- Provide exceptional guest service by anticipating needs and resolving issues promptly
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in hospitality or guest services preferred but not necessary
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent customer service and guest relations abilities
- Ability to multitask, direct support staff, and work in a fast-paced environment
- Professional phone etiquette and strong problem-solving skills
