Bear Creek Nursing & Rehabilitation is hiring for our Floor Tech position. This is a part time posiiton which will include 20 hours a week / 4 evenings a week.
The primary purpose of the position is to ensure the highest quality and cleanliness of resident care available, support staff and establish a positive reputation in the community while delivering on the Eduro HealthCare Values of wellness, compassion, customer experience and company results. This position is responsible for maintaining the facility.
- As assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor, maintain all floors, walls, wall coverings, ceilings, etc. Always keep the facility in excellent repair.
- Identify problems and report them appropriately.
- Take responsibility for all phases of grounds keeping, including : lawn care, weed control, planting, cleaning of parking lots, etc.
- Maintain care and use of supplies, equipment, etc. and maintain the appearance of work areas.
- Ensure that all driveways, parking areas, walks, and stairs are kept free from ice and snow. (Parking lot snow removal may be contracted by a snow removal service.)
- Perform regular inspections of resident rooms, halls and common areas for order, safety and any repairs that may be required.
- Take care of special requests from residents promptly.
- Use safety precautions when performing tasks and when using equipment and supplies.
- Assure that established Infection Control and Universal Precautions practices are maintained when performing maintenance procedures.
- Must work with a variety of chemicals, hazardous or flammable materials, and must be aware of their use and their possible reactions.
- Run errands for parts, supplies, or equipment.
- Perform other related duties as may become necessary or as directed by Supervisor.
