What are the responsibilities and job description for the Environmental Services Director/Housekeeping/Laundry Supervisor position at Bear Creek Nursing?
This position is responsible forthe overall cleanliness of the facility and supervising thehousekeeping / laundry staff. This position is also responsible for ensuring thatdirty laundry and linens are sorted, washed, dried, and folded in accordancewith established policies and procedures. This position is also responsible forensuring that operations meet regulatory requirements and are within theestablished budget.
Qualifications :
- Must have the ability to read, write, andfollow oral and written directions at a level necessary to accomplish this job.
- Must have the willingness to perform simple, repetitive tasks.
- Must haveknowledge of supplies and equipment used by department and the care of thisequipment.
- Must be able to lift 20-25 lbs. frequently and 50-75 lbs.occasionally.
- Must be able to work with standard cleaning chemicals.
- Musthave knowledge of safety and regulatory regulations.
- Must be able tocooperate and work well with fellow employees.
- Must have knowledge of recordkeeping and budgeting.
- Must have ability to deal tactfully and effectivelywith residents, staff, family members, visitors, government agencies'personnel, and the general public.
- Must present a professional appearance.
- Must be able to meet all local health regulations and pass pre / post-employmentphysical exam if required. This requirement also includes drug screening,criminal background investigation and reference inquiry.
- Must agree not todisclose resident protected health information and report suspected or knownviolations of such to the Administrator.
