The building blocks of being a Program Manager are simple, enriching the lives of adults with disabilities within our community. As a Program Manager, you have the opportunity to help individuals find and connect to interests, people, places, and hobbies. Every day in this position is different which means it’s never boring!
We were founded in 1976 out of necessity by parents of children with developmental disabilities. After a long and tiresome struggle, we opened our first group home in May of that same year. We now operate 14 group homes and provide supports to 50 individuals in our Independent Living Services program. Our mission is to provide personalized community life experiences for individuals with developmental disabilities and traumatic brain injuries.
Here’s the nitty gritty. As a Program Manager, you are responsible for developing and overseeing the outcomes of people, and directly supporting them in the Residential Living Program (group homes). The goal is to assist them to live their best lives, as independently and safely as they desire.
Key job points:
- Ensure State licensing compliance
- Development and monitoring of program plans
- Direct care of individuals with disabilities
- Supervision of a team of Direct Support Professionals
This position supervises Direct Support Professional staff as they provide care and support to individuals with disabilities. This position is based in a residential group home and applicants must have a flexible schedule and work on call shifts.
- Program Managers are required to have four years of either full-time work or education related to the human services field to be considered.
- Supervisory experience is always a plus, but we will train the right candidate!
