We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Addiction Therapist/Mental Health Therapist to join our team. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental health needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
- Provide evidence-based counseling services, including crisis intervention and behavior management techniques.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with ICD-10 coding standards.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including social workers and medical staff, to coordinate care for clients.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions and support groups as needed.
- Monitor clients' progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with best practices in mental health therapy.
Experience
- A degree in psychology, social work, or a related field is required; advanced degrees are preferred.
- Proven experience in mental health counseling or behavioral health settings is essential.
- Familiarity with crisis intervention strategies and child family counseling is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of medical documentation practices and coding, particularly ICD-10.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Experience working in hospital settings is a plus but not mandatory.
