Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Technician to join our team. As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing support to individuals recovering from substance abuse and alcoholism. This position offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of those in need.
Some of the Responsibilities included are:
- Conduct searches when needed; inventory client personal property with clients upon intakes; utilize good communication skills in working with clients in crisis.
- Ensure that the clients are adhering to lights out schedule; must be a role model at all times, and if applicable, shares personal experience, strength, and hope and act as a sobriety role model.
- Assist clients in maintaining proper sleep hygiene by encouraging healthy sleep habits.
- Perform drug and alcohol testing per protocol when necessary
- Diligently monitor clients at all times during shift; performing rounds on clients and ensuring withdrawal symptoms are well managed.
- Light housekeeping and maintaining overall cleanliness of the facility.
- Doing resident and house laundry overnight.
The minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalency test (HiSET), or general equivalency diploma (GED), familiarity with the twelve-step program of recovery, and if in recovery, a minimum one-year continuous sobriety with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Current Adult CPR certification
Current Adult First Aid certification
Valid Driver’s License
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 16 per week
