Job Title: Project Manager

 

Location: Alviso, CA

 

Reports to: Regional Vice President

 

Job Summary:

The Project Manager plays a key role in overseeing, coordinating, and executing electrical construction and maintenance projects from start to finish. This position involves planning, budgeting, scheduling, and ensuring all work complies with industry standards and client specifications. The Project Manager collaborates with engineers, electricians, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to deliver projects on time, within scope, and within budget. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential for managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a safe working environment. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex and high-impact projects in a dynamic environment. Success in the position requires attention to detail, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to manage both technical and financial aspects of electrical projects.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Project Planning & Scheduling: Develop detailed project schedules and work plans, monitor milestones, and adjust timelines as needed.

  • Budget Management: Prepare cost estimates, manage project budgets, track expenses, and approve change orders.

  • Resource Coordination: Allocate manpower, equipment, and materials to ensure smooth project operations.

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all electrical work meets company standards, building codes, and client expectations.

  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.

  • Client & Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on progress and addressing concerns.

  • Vendor & Subcontractor Management: Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of services and materials.

  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure all activities follow OSHA and NEC regulations and maintain a safe work environment. Ensures compliance with Federal, State, and contractual obligations

  • Reporting: Monitor project progress and generate reports for stakeholders regarding performance, timelines, and budget adherence.

 

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Background in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred) OR equivalent experience through progressively responsible roles in the electrical field (e.g., Journeyman, Foreman, or Superintendent).

  • 3 years of project management experience in electrical contracting or construction.

  • Knowledge of electrical systems, codes (e.g., NEC), and construction processes.

  • Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore).

  • Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

  • PMP certification or similar is a plus but not required.

Salary : $125,000 - $150,000
