Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Completes admitting paperwork for patients.
- Helps to educate patients on dialysis procedures and chemotherapy medications.
- Monitors patients’ vitals and lab reports.
- Interprets patient’s lab results and adjusting care as needed.
- Assures compliance with Regulatory requirements.
- Evaluates, plans, implements, and documents nursing care for patients with kidney failure.
- Initiates dialysis, monitors patient and dialysis machine, and terminates the dialysis procedure.
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Performs a variety of tasks.
- Gives compassionate and thorough care and education to patients.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Requires an Associate’s Degree in Nursing
- Certified as a Registered Nurse with at least 2 years of clinical experience, or an LPN currently enrolled in a RN program and will receive their license within 6 months
- Strong written and oral communications skills
- Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality
- Strict adherence to safety policies and procedures
- Continued education and training as required
- Potential travel for required educational and training requirements
- ONS Certification or willing to obtain.
