POSITION SUMMARY: Complete customer transactions and provide excellent customer service within the policies of the Bear River Tobacco Traders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

1. Provides excellent customer service to all customers.
2. Accurately process transactions through the POS system and count back change to customer.
3. Performs opening and closing procedures.
4. Maintains a balanced till/bank at all times.
5. Follows health and safety and sanitation guidelines for all products.
6. Stocking and organizing all products when needed.
7. Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma/GED;

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

• Shall possess a valid driver's license.
• Must be able to be covered by agency's vehicle insurance.

COMPUTER OPERATIONS

• Basic personal computer skills.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY:

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Ability to operate standard office equipment (copier, fax, etc.).
• Must be able to work with Native American people and be sensitive to their culture.
• Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
• Participate in proactive team efforts of Bear River Band of Rohnerville Rancheria.
• Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
