What are the responsibilities and job description for the On Call Teacher Assistant position at Bear River Head Start?
This On Call Teacher Assistant position is a part time position, up to 30 hours a week, 12 months per year, and eligible retirement after 13 months. Rate of pay is $14.52 per hour. Must be available at least two days a week Monday-Thursday between the hours of 7:30am-3:30pm. Must be proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
KEY FUNCTIONS:
Under the general supervision of the PHS/EHS Center Based Coordinator, direct supervision may be assigned according to program needs. The Substitute will be trained in the position of Teacher Assistant, Secretary, Media Specialist and Food Manager in order to fill in where needed, providing services to children and families.

- Short or long term substitute in the above mentioned areas when Head Start staff need to take a leave of absence.
- Fill in where needed to ensure continual quality program operations.
- Help with screenings as needed and ensure disability requirements are met.
- Other duties as needed.

- Experience working with young children.
- Ability to work with young children and with families.
- Ability to be flexible and work well in a variety of areas.
