BASIC FUNCTION:
Assists dealers/customers in all areas of parts sales (i.e.: parts order entry and parts order/shipping performance issues). Maintains records for parts orders and parts returns.
MAJOR DUTIES:
- Receives customer/dealer parts orders via email or telephone and enters the orders into the system.
- Assists in identifying the correct parts needed to meet the customers requirements.
- Resolves issues concerning parts order and delivery procedures and performance.
- Administers customer/dealer requests to return goods through the Return Material Authorization procedures.
- Receives, enters, and processes foreign parts orders, including invoicing, NAFTA/Canadex forms, freight charges and coordinating timing with shipping personnel to assure orders are completed in an expedient manner.
- Produces price quotes for foreign and domestic customers/dealers as required.
- Enters special work orders for parts/ service orders when standard Etnyre part numbers have not been established, e.g., measuring sticks, jacket sheets, tank heads, etc.
- Processes all claims with freight carriers for late shipments, damaged goods, lost goods, etc.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Prior experience in a parts sales position is preferred. Knowledge may be gained from a combination of practical experience and/or specialized training.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Some bending and twisting is required. Routine duties will occasionally require lifting approximately 10 - 20 pounds (and periodically heavier loads.)
