Project Manager

Beard Construction Group, LLC (BCG) is an industrial construction firm specializing in all phases of civil construction services. Civil disciplines include earthwork, mass excavation, site preparation, concrete foundations, landfill construction, impoundment closures, and other civil-related construction services.

Beard Construction Group, LLC, is looking for an Project Manager to join our team in Port Arthur, TX. This position will report to Beard Construction Groups Senior Project Manager and is responsible for providing project engineering management support to Beard Construction Group. This includes developing bid packages, estimating project costs, review and selection of suppliers, procuring materials and services, understanding project plans and specifications, scheduling project work activities providing project oversight, coordinating and communicating with project personnel, and helping to ensure successful project completion and close out.

Position Requirements

· Ability to work with the Project Management Team to ensure the successful completion of on-going or new projects and assists in the continuing development of company and client goals through safe work practices.

· Provides project management assistance to Superintendents and Foremen for current construction projects

· Shows ability to plan, schedule, direct work of self and others, and provide follow up to ensure quality standards

· Showcases knowledgeable and understanding of business operations and functions, and the ability to align goals to support the business.

· Assists in the development of project proposal packages for upcoming projects with a focus on the timely submission of completed proposal

· Estimates costs of upcoming projects accounting for labor, equipment, materials, services and all other associated costs

· Makes sound, well-informed and objective decisions while be an effective communicator; and possess the ability to interface well with employees at all levels of the organization.

· Performs other related administrative and technical duties as may be assigned or requested by immediate supervision (such as certification training, safety training, procedure review, etc.)

Required experience and Education:

• Four-Year college degree desired: Construction Management Preferred OR, any equivalent combination of construction project management experience, training and/or education approved by Human Resources.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in jobs with 100% of time project managing a construction site(required)
• Proficient verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of construction safety, current Federal and OSHA requirements

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US and pass a background investigation and drug screen.
