What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Service Coordinator position at Beard Equipment?
Summary/Objective
The Field Service Coordinator works with internal and external customers to coordinate field repairs.
Essential Job Functions

- Open field repairs orders, update field call log, schedule field calls, and dispatch field technicians
- Assign priority and schedule field calls
- Communicate updates to the customer before, during, and after the field call is completed
- Re‐schedule field calls, if not completed with the first trip
- Direct field techs and assign repairs based on priority and schedule
- Partner with the parts department to assure parts are on hand and available for the field call
- Manage field warranty parts and assures that techs are placing them on the appropriate shelf
- Inputs Service Technician time as necessary
- Answers phone calls for internal and external customer calls promptly and professionally
- Maintain positive and professional working relationships with coworkers, management, and vendors with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service
- Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner
- Follow all safety rules and regulations and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in
- company manuals and the employee handbook
- Participate in all company driven communication efforts including department meetings, electronic
- communications (email and text) and other related efforts
- Proactively seek and participate in available company sponsored training to develop skills and knowledge
- Maintain prompt and regular attendance according to department and company policies

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting in or around service/parts departments and will be exposed to outside weather conditions, noise, vibration, fumes, odors, dust, electrical shock, toxic or caustic chemicals, heights and close proximity to moving mechanical parts.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full‐time position. Days of work are Monday through Friday. Over time and weekends, as necessary.

Job Requirements
- High School Diploma required
- Must have proficient computer skills as well as an advanced aptitude in Word and Excel
- Good understanding of accounting and financial principles relative to Service Department operations.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to drive a company vehicle is preferred, but not required
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Valid Driver’s License
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record
