- Support and implement on-site safety monitoring and education.
- Support and implement the management of daily huddles and review DJHAs with subcontractors.
- Support and enforce the review implementation of safety protocols with crew & staff, and with subcontractors.
- Examine and install safety barriers where required.
- Read and understand the Geotechnical Report.
- Read and fully understand contract drawings, specs, scope, and other contract related documents.
- Install and maintain erosion & sediment control devices.
- Install temporary office trailers & utilities.
- Support the development of a tool and equipment list for mobilization.
- Lead Bearing’s installation crews to meet or exceed daily production goals.
- Review submittals for picking and storage requirements. Identify and request materials & supplies a minimum of one week in advance of the proposed construction activity.
- Request additional workers and schedule required equipment in advance.
- Reviews work packs with the project engineer and provides directive on modification or development of work packs.
- Reviews work packs with installation crews. Request in advance all materials required to perform assigned tasks. Request miscellaneous supplies required by crews.
- Provide support for the weekly progress meetings.
- Support the review, coordination, and management of the 3-week look-ahead schedules. Notify and coordinate 3-week look-ahead schedules with subcontractors.
- Schedule shutdowns as needed with plant operations.
- Provide support for the management of weekly internal/sub coordination meetings.
- Manage the primary & secondary subcontractor installation crews.
- Submit external & internal daily reports.
- Stage materials for installation crews (self-perform or subcontracted) as necessary.
- Confirm Punchlist items are completed promptly & accurately.
- Perform demobilization from the project site.
- Input daily payroll for designated crews, to be approved by the superintendent.
- Create and update change events with accurate and timely information as events develop and evolve
- Confirm delivered materials’ quantities conform with delivery receipts/bills-of-lading.
- Store and manage inventory of materials received based on location and storage requirements.
- Code delivery tickets for materials they themselves have ordered or released then submit utilizing company submission platform unless otherwise directed by a superior.
- Inventory tools and manage storage and security. Report missing or damaged tools internally.
- Input accurate daily & weekly payroll reports to the superintendent via company payroll platform.
- Support the management of the timekeeping process for payroll or change events by providing response to inquiries that may arise.
- Record and report payroll data to field management.
- Manage installation teams to meet production goals.
- Exceptionally detail oriented, organized, and focused on quality.
- Comfortable learning new software applications quickly and with little direct supervision.
- Ability to research and comprehend the details of contract documents and drawings.
- Possess strong desire to keep IT-related skill set relevant and useful.
- Ability to prioritize time to meet deadlines, anticipate issues and avoid bottlenecks.
- Excellent time management and communication skills.
- Must provide clear and concise direction to all designated employees and subcontractors performing work.
- Conduct Bi-annual Employee evaluations and reviews.
- Develop employee improvement plans when necessary.
- Conduct employee orientation and training as required.
- Build and maintain Positive morale among employees.
- Address and document employee misconduct utilizing HR approved guidelines.
- High school diploma/GED required.
- 5 years of experience in construction duties.
- Ability to read and write in order to maintain records and work schedules, to read work orders, specifications and so forth.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to interact with co-workers, clients & their staff in a respectful and courteous manner.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Previous water/wastewater construction experience.
- Must be able to work in an active outdoor construction site environment.
- Must be able to ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and work in confined spaces and in proximity to loud equipment.
- Must be able to traverse irregular and steep terrain.
- Must be able to work in various weather conditions and be exposed to dirt or dust.
- Must be able to wear the required personal protective equipment while at work.
- Must be able to lift and carry 25lbs regularly and 50lbs occasionally.
- Must be able to work for long periods of time while standing.
