What are the responsibilities and job description for the OPERATIONS MANAGER position at Beary Landscape Management Inc?
Operations Manager will coordinate activities for assigned Job / Customer. Providing Leadership, Training, Quality Control, and Support at all levels. Operations Manager works directly with Clients, Account Manager, and Branch Manager.
Duties and responsibilities
- Responsible for selecting and managing field employees.
- Lead, motivate, and manage Landscape Maintenance, Enhancement, Snow Removal crews, and subcontractors (if applicable).
- Supervise maintenance accounts, and ensures work is being done per contract on time.
- Schedules weekly safety meetings, and training programs appointed from Safety Director.
- Conducts performance evaluations for each crew and sets goals for each crew.
- Conducts monthly truck and trailer inspections, and in-field safety inspections for each crew per Fleet Manager.
- Participates in preparation for season changes.
- Builds customer relations with established customers, and new customers.
- Assists in the scheduling of additional work that needs to be performed.
- Communicates any status or site issues / or concerns to the Branch Manager, and Account Manager in a timely manner.
- Completing all necessary paperwork for each crew, and job in a timely manner.
- Participates in Snow Removal Program, and other winter assigned projects.
- Experience in the Landscape Construction / Maintenance Industry.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work in a team environment, including taking direction and constructive feedback from team members, as well as providing feedback to other team members.
- Ability to read and implement construction plans, landscape plans, and job specifications.
- Ability to deliver quality results under tight deadlines.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of equipment operation including but not limited to chainsaws, lawn equipment, skid loaders, tractors, etc.
- Demonstrate accountability for work being performed and completed on schedule.
- Demonstrate a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to lead and direct the work of others and delegate tasks.
- Demonstrate a commitment to safety and practicing safe work behaviors.
- Demonstrate a safe driving history, including the operation of Beary Landscaping Vehicles
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Bilingual English and Spanish preferred but not required
