Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Med/Surg Summary: Under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse or licensed practitioners, the Licensed Practical Nurse applies the nursing process and executes diagnostic or therapeutic regimens prescribed by licensed practitioners, including limited intravenous therapy interventions as applicable. Works collaboratively with patients, families and other health care providers to assist in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. Follows nursing standards of practice. To ensure quality, safe patient care. Effectively manages supplies, equipment, and other resources. Qualifications: Licensed Practical Nurse Diploma, currently licensed as an LPN; Current CPR/BLS, permitted to provide IV therapy.
