What are the responsibilities and job description for the Spanish Medical Interpreter position at Beatrice Community Hospital & Health Center?
Summary:
This position provides accurate face to face, telephonic or video interpretations from English into Spanish and vice versa of medical and non-medical information in direct services to physicians and/or other healthcare providers and staff who serve patients, their families or other community members who cannot speak English, specifically required by the provider.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required. Completion of a technical college course in interpreting skills preferred. Certification through an accredited language interpretation program (e.g., Certification Commission for Healthcare Interpreters or National Board of Certification for Medical Interpreters) preferred or required within six months of hire. Alternatively, a minimum of three years of experience interpreting in a hospital or healthcare setting may be considered. 1-3 years of experience.
Schedule:
Full-Time; Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
