Job Overview
Beattie Law Group is seeking an Associate Attorney looking to transition from civil litigation to transactional law. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years experience involving trust and estate disputes, business disputes, or real estate related litigation. The successful candidate will be joining a boutique practice working with high net worth clients, primarily in the areas of Estate Planning, Real Estate, Commercial Transactions and Tax law. Applicants must be able to demonstrate strong legal research and writing skills, a history of working with matters involving trust, real estate, business, and/or contract law. The successful candidate will assist with occasional trust disputes, but will primarily focus on the firm's core areas of practice drafting trusts, forming business entities, and handling real estate and other commercial transactions for high net worth individuals and businesses throughout Northern California. This is an excellent opportunity to work with matters involving sophisticated Estate Planning and Business Transactions with clientele from Bakersfield to Half Moon Bay, in Carmel, San Jose, Modesto, Stockton, Lodi, and Sacramento.
Responsibilities
- Draft legal documents including Wills and Trusts, Partnership Agreements, Operating Agreements for LLCs, Purchase and Sale Agreements, Leases and other contracts, and agreements with precision.
- Draft Estate Planning documents, including complex trusts and other estate planning documents.
- Assist with Trust Administration matters, including occasional Trust and Estate Disputes .
- Provide legal advice on Estate Planning, Business Structures, Real Estate Transactions, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with colleagues on complex cases and participate in team meetings to discuss strategies.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the California State Bar and a valid license to practice law.
- Strong knowledge of Estate Planning, Corporate, Partnership, Real Estate or Commercial Transactions Law
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft clear and concise legal documents.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a small firm environment.
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $95,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
