Position Overview
We are looking for a Journeyman Plumber to work under our Master Plumber, who currently oversees our Plumbing Department. In this role, you will be involved in a variety of plumbing and water treatment projects, playing a key part in installations, maintenance, and repairs. This is an excellent opportunity to expand your skillset in both traditional plumbing and specialized water treatment systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Install & Maintain Plumbing Systems: Collaborate with our Master Plumber to service water heaters, tankless heaters, sump pumps, bladder tanks, constant pressure systems, and more.
- Water Treatment Expertise: Work closely with our water treatment team on projects involving water softeners, reverse osmosis systems, and iron filters.
- Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve plumbing-related issues, ensuring systems are operating efficiently and safely.
- Adherence to Codes & Standards: Follow local and state plumbing codes to maintain compliance and uphold high safety standards.
- Team Collaboration: Assist in planning projects, coordinating with other technicians, and ensuring smooth workflow in the Plumbing Department.
- Customer Service: Provide clear communication and respectful service to customers, ensuring satisfaction with every job.
Qualifications
- Journeyman Plumber’s License (Michigan): Required to perform plumbing work and comply with state regulations.
- Experience: Demonstrated proficiency in residential or commercial plumbing, with direct experience in water heaters, tankless systems, or similar preferred.
- Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of local plumbing codes and familiarity with water treatment solutions is a plus.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to safely lift and maneuver moderate to heavy equipment.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
- Driver’s License: Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
