Position: Multifamily General Superintendent. Ideally, the successful Candidate is located in Portland, Salem or in-between.

The basic function of the General Superintendent is to coordinate and manage Superintendents and all Field Staff while maintaining the company’s commitment to quality work and customer satisfaction.
Requirements/Responsibilities
A strong team leader with a positive mindset.
Highly knowledgeable and experienced in multifamily and commercial construction.
Ensure customer relations are maintained at the highest level.
Schedule and complete any special projects assigned by management.
Maintain, update and prioritize schedule as needed.
Qualifications
- Extensive (minimum 5 years) experience in multifamily construction management and field personnel supervision.
- Proficiency in OSHA regulations and safety standards.
- Proficiency in project scheduling and sequencing.
- In depth knowledge of the construction process.
- Proficiency with construction management software.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and deciphering details.
- Strong aptitude for quality control management.
Duties:
The following are primary duties of the General Superintendent:
7.1 Managing field leaders such as Superintendents, Foreman, and other site leads.
7.2 Oversee company safety program.
7.3 Coordinate and schedule weekly labor assignments.
7.4 Oversee company quality control program.
7.5 Oversee training for field personal.
7.6 Manage the company shop area, tools, and equipment
7.7 Enforce company standards to ensure subcontractor performance.
7.8 Assist with ensuring jobs are staffed properly including subcontractor staffing.
7.9 Communicate with project teams regarding opportunities or issues pertaining to production, technology, budgets, etc.
7.10 Uphold the highest standards for customer service through personal leadership and managing employees.
7.11 Promote the company image through exercising sound and ethical business practices as they relate to customers, suppliers, employees, and the public.
7.12 Follow & promote all guidelines, policies and procedures established by the company.
7.13 Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, health & safety laws & ordinances including but not limited to PBOT, ODOT, BES, OSHA, etc...
7.14 Oversee and coordinate with the project teams regarding punch walks and warranty work.
7.15 Oversee training of all superintendents according to the duties of their job description.
7.16 File all applicable documentation in the company job file database.
7.17 Inspect job sites to ensure all standards and expectations are being met.
7.18 Attend the following meetings: Weekly production meeting, Project kick-off meeting, Project close-out meetings, final Job Walk with Owner and Architect.
7.19 Ensure Building Inspections and Special Inspections are being conducted and passed. Coordinate Final Inspections, Fire Marshal Inspections, Elevator Inspections, Final Testing, etc. as applicable with project superintendents.
7.20 Coordinate the preparation of the job startup packet with the Project Team.
7.21 Review key submittals.
7.22 Participate in project closeout efforts.
