Position Interventional Technologist- Angiography Location Beaufort Memorial Hospital Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time Shift Days Exempt/Non-Exempt Non-Exempt Description Under the direction of the Cardiovascular Services Manager and the charge nurse, performs procedures in the angiographic suite. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: setting up a sterile field ; assisting physician with diagnostic as well as interventional procedures; completion of all necessary documentation and paperwork pertinent to each case; processing of digital images through the department Imaging Archive System; keeping room clean and clear of clutter; transporting patients; communicating with family, physicians and involved ancillary staff; covering call on a rotating basis including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays. Performs in a manner consistent with the mission, vision and values of Beaufort Memorial Hospital. Understanding that healthcare delivery is continually evolving, and departmental needs and goals are subject to change, responsibilities may be expanded or restricted at the discretion of the Department Director. Education:
- High School Grad or equivalent (GED) preferred
- Two-year Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology OR graduate of AMA approved or JRCERT accredited Radiologic Technology program.
Experience:
- Preferable Interventional Radiology or Cardiac Catheterization Lab experience for more than one year. Sterile technique experience preferred.
- At least 1 year experience required for PRN positions.
Certifications/Licenses:
- ARRT registered, or registry eligible. (Must be obtained within first year of employment.)
- BLS required prior to first clinical shift (must be issued by the American Heart Association). ACLS preferred.
- I.V. Credentials preferred but not required
- SCRQSA certification required.
