What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Reading Instructor position at Beaufort County School District?
Responsibilities:
The Certified Reading Instructor will be responsible for providing reading instruction to students in small and large group settings. The successful candidate will use research-based information to instruct students in reading, provide RTI services, and collaborate with colleagues to identify students who need instructional support in reading. Additionally, the Certified Reading Instructor will attend ongoing professional development provided by the school and district, as well as weekly/monthly meetings in current literacy research and practices.

Requirements:
- Must have a valid South Carolina teaching certification or be able to obtain one within 60 days from being hired.
- Must be Highly Qualified in the content area of reading or be able to become Highly Qualified in the content area of reading within 60 days from being hired.
- A Master's degree in Elementary/Middle School or Reading/ELA is preferred.
