What are the responsibilities and job description for the Camp Counselor position at Beaufort County South Carolina?
This position involves supporting various summer camp activities, such as supervising children, planning and leading activities, assisting with field trips, handling and serving food, as well as organizing and performing light cleaning duties. The main objective is to create a safe, enjoyable, and enriching environment for the children.
Camps locations may change, but are expected to take place at the following locations:
- Scott Center
- Bluffton Center
- Charles Lind Brown Center
- Burton Wells Recreation Center
- Whale Branch/Booker T Washington Center
Minimum Requirements:
- Must have valid driver's license.
- Must have at least one year of experience working with children.
- Must have a current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Must be at least 18 years of age prior to the start of camp.
Experience Preferred:
- Previous camp counselor experience preferred.
All applicants tentatively selected for a position with Beaufort County Council will be required to submit to urinalysis to screen for the illegal use of drugs and to a background check prior to appointment. Employment is contingent upon clearing both the drug screening and the background investigation.
Salary : $18 - $21
