Summary Objective
SENIOR PROGRAM BUS DRIVER: The purpose of this position is to provide transportation in a courteous and safe manner. This class works under close supervision according to set procedures.
Beaufort County has various facilities within the county, and many departments have multiple offices to serve our citizens. Management reserves the right to transfer employees from one location to another within the county at any time based on business need. Employees will be given as much notice as possible prior to a change in work location.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The essential functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this class. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the class as necessary.

- Operate various transportation vehicles.
- Assists participants with entering and exiting the bus, and with wheelchairs and walkers.
- Follows established County rules and regulations related to operation use of bus.
- Provides reports on routing, passengers, maintenance, and mileage.
- Cleans interior and exterior of vehicles daily.
- Inspects bus daily for any damages.
- Checks bus engine for issues.
- Assists staff members as requested.
- Performs related work as assigned.
- Requires High School graduation or GED equivalent.
- Over three months and up to and including six months of related experience.
- Must possess and maintain a valid state commercial driver’s license with an acceptable driving history.
- Must submit copies of certifications with applications to be considered .
Salary : $18 - $23
