Summary Objective

- Performs a broad range of skilled and non-skilled trades including carpentry and/or painting, plumbing, custodial and grounds maintenance, mechanical and related tasks.
- Perform roof and drain inspections/maintenance, and minor repairs.
- Participates in the maintenance and repair of buildings, structural components, doors, door frames, windows, floors, ceilings and walls.
- Assists in performing carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, painting and electrical services.
- Identifies problems, determines solutions and/or repair needs and performs necessary work.
- Repairs furniture and installs partitions, shelves, doors, windows, floors, ceilings and walls.
- Replaces fan belts, motors, switches and other defective parts and equipment.
- Installs toilets, foundations, and other plumbing fixtures.
- Installs sheetrock and paneling, plaster walls and finishes concrete.
- Assists with providing cost estimates for repairs, installations and maintenance.
- Completes office moves and/or transport furniture to department offices.
- Performs related work as assigned.
- Requires High School graduation or GED equivalent.
- Over one year and up to and including two years of related experience.
- Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving history.
