Description
The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office Forensic Services Laboratory, an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory, is currently accepting applications for a Forensic DNA Analyst position in the Forensic DNA Section.
Specific Duties
- Performs serological and DNA analysis of biological samples recovered from evidentiary material.
- Prepares accurate and precise notes and technical reports.
- Testifies as an expert witness regarding the scientific conclusions obtained from analysis.
- Provides technical assistance to members of law enforcement and the criminal justice community.
- Performs maintenance, calibration, and quality control on scientific instruments.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Survey or introductory coursework intended for non-science majors will not satisfy the above requirement.
