What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bus Driver (Part-time) position at Beaufort-Jasper EOC?
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Transport children to and from Head Start centers efficiently and safely.
2. Ensure that all passengers wear seat belts and are placed in appropriate (age or weight) car seats and belted. Seat belts are in place and orderly with the assistance of the bus monitor.
3. Assist Bus Monitor in performing daily sign on & sign off sheets, accounting by name all children getting on and off the bus.
4. Assist Bus Monitor in ensuring that each child is delivered to the care of a responsible adult upon leaving bus (on the authorized list).
5. Ensure that no child is ever left unattended while on the bus, following all procedures put in place to prevent a child being left behind.
6. Visually observe the health of each child on the bus.
7. Coordinate with the Bus Monitor the paperwork flow between homes and Head Start sites. Record Keeping and Reporting.
8. Continuous collaboration with site staff and bus monitor to design efficient bus routes.
9. Perform pre/post trip inspection and preventative maintenance in accordance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulation, CF4 S-49, State Laws and Head Start Policies and Procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. CDL Class A or B with Passenger and Safety Endorsements
2. Must be at least 21 years old.
3. High School Diploma
4. Clean Driving Record
