What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bus Monitor position at Beaufort-Jasper EOC?
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assist in the efficient and safe transportation of children to and from Head Start centers locations.
2. Ensure that all child passengers wear seat belts/child safety restraints and are appropriately secured in the restraints per (age or weight) requirements. Child Safety Restraints are in place and are orderly.
3. Perform daily sign on & sign off sheets accounting by name all children getting on and off the bus.
4. Ensure that each child is delivered to the care of a responsible adult upon leaving the bus.
5. Ensure that no child is ever left unattended while on the bus, following all procedures put in place to prevent a child being left behind.
6. Visually observe the health of each child on the bus.
7. Ensure proper record keeping and reporting is taking place on all required bus documents; recording key transportation events taking place between the home and Head Start sites. Record Keeping and Reporting.
8. Maintain continuous collaboration and communication with center-level staff and the bus monitor regarding child bus attendance, the design of efficient bus routes, responsible receivers and pick-up and drop-off locations.
9. Remain properly aligned to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulation, CF4 S-49, State Laws and Head Start Program Performance Standards and Program Policies and Procedures as it pertains to child safety on buses.

Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
