What are the responsibilities and job description for the LPN position at Beaufort Jasper?
Position Summary:
This position assists in the delivery of primary health care services and patient care management.
Essential Duties:
- Assist provider in preparing patient for examination, treatment and with minor surgical procedures.
- May be required to schedule referral appointments and follow up on missed appointments.
- Distribute patient educational information as directed by the provider.
Qualifications:
- Qualified candidate must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and must have or be eligible for a SC license.
- One year nursing experience in Pediatrics or Adult Medicine.
- Minimum 6 months experience with electronic health record, phlebotomy, vitals, EKG's nebulizer treatments, immunizations, IV's referral tracking and assisting with clinical procedures.
- Previous clinical experience in a medical office (back-end duties), handling patient records electronically and knowledge of HIPAA regulation are also required to effectively perform in this position.
- Must be willing to work and train at any of our locations in Beaufort, Jasper and Hampton counties,
- Strong interpersonal and computer skills are required.
