POSITION SUMMARY
The Obstetrician/Gynecologist (OB/GYN) is responsible for providing medical care to women relating to pregnancy or childbirth; responsible for treating, testing, diagnosing and monitoring diseases and provide general care to women.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Provide care and treatment to women during prenatal, natal, and postnatal periods.
- Perform pap smears, pelvic and breast exams.
- Collaborate and consult with other medical and non-medical personnel.
- Effectively monitor patients progress throughout treatment plan and care and provide continuous improvement on patient outcomes.
- Educate patients on importance of treatment plans and communicate side effects and risk of medications prescribed.
- Educate patients on disease prevention and reproductive health
- Provide inpatient care to include deliveries and surgery.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or a Doctor of Osteopathic (DO) having successfully completed an accredited Undergraduate Program, Internship, and Residency Program.
- Must be licensed to practice Medicine in South Carolina. Must be Board-Certified /Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology Medicine.
- Must have and maintain current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).
- Shall have and maintain a current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) certificate and South Carolina Controlled Substance License.
- Proof of full vaccination for COVID-19.
