- Maximum two (2) years may be granted for experience outiside of the Beaumont Unified School District
WORK YEAR : 195 Days
SCHEDULE :
Campus Aide : 8 : 30 a.m. - 11 : 15 a.m.
Instructional Assistant II (Bilingual) : 11 : 45 a.m. - 2 : 45 p.m.
DEFINITION :
Under immediate supervision, assists in conducting intensified, positive learning experiences for non-English and limited-English speaking students; assigned to a classroom having a Bilingual setting, parent authorization and two-way instruction that has been authorized by the District; performs a variety of clerical and supportive tasks for certified instructional personnel including translating written materials; and performs related work as required.
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS :
Positions in this class receive direct assignment, supervision and training from certified instructional personnel and general orientation and training from the principal through District programs. Special qualifications required for working with the needs and interests of non-English speaking students.

Demonstrate an understanding, patient, warm and receptive attitude toward children.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE :
Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade; some paid or volunteer experience working with children in an educational or child care setting; or any combination of training and experience that could likely provide the desired knowledge and abilities.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATION, AND TESTING :
Current and valid CPR and First Aid certification provided by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
REQUIREMENTS :
Pass the District's adopted Bilingual Examination with a satisfactory score; Good physical condition as determined by pre- and post-employment inquiries and health report; Pass District physical examination which includes drug screening; Provide proof of negative TB test at time of hiring.
