BASIC FUNCTION:
To provide a helpful, clean, and safe environment for Beaumont’s ILU residents, guests, and employees. Also, to help ensure that the facilities of Beaumont are not only sanitary, attractive, and orderly but of superior quality aesthetically in cleanliness always.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Follow proper cleaning procedures. This position may be transferred to PC or HCC in emergencies. May include Apartments/Villas, the Health Center, PC Unit, or common areas. Maintain a courteous and helpful attitude toward residents, their guests, and co-workers. Works in homes with animals. Yes, I Can attitude. Keep work areas clean, safe and in an orderly manner. Be proactive in reporting any potential safety or housekeeping problems to a supervisor. Complete all tasks assigned by the Director of Housekeeping and or supervisor. Attending departmental staff meetings and participating in training seminars. Perform up to standards of the DOH, OSHA & DPW.
EDUCATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Prior housekeeping experience, preferably in a similar facility. Must be able to walk the entire campus and push a heavy cleaning equipment. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs. Must be able to assist in evacuations.
