RESPONSIBILITIES OF AN RN SUPERVISOR:
- Provides direct and ongoing contact with the residents, physicians, staff members, families, and vendors.
- Responsible for troubleshooting and resolving issues to maximize resident, family, and potential resident satisfaction.
- Monitors the physical, mental, and social functioning of the resident.
- Demonstrates teamwork ability.
- Serves as a resident advocate.
- Conducts thorough nursing assessments and incident reports of residents.
- Follows standard nursing care practices for treatment and medication distribution.
- Maintains current documentation and other clinical records, ensuring completeness in a timely manner.
- Facilitates orientation and training of all necessary staff involved with the care of the residents.
- Demonstrates willingness for continuing education.
EDUCATION, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN in this state – BSN preferred.
- Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.
- Minimum 1-year experience as nursing supervisor
