About Our Team :
Our small but growing engineering team is looking for an experienced and self-motivated Engineering Manager to help us build Beautiful.ai. The engineering team is creating software that enables even the least design inclined to build beautiful presentations. If you sweat the details, care deeply about everything from the quality of code to the quality of our users’ experience, and are looking for a team that values collaboration and teamwork, then we want to hear from you.
About the Role :
As our first Engineering Manager, you will oversee a team of six engineers (with plans to grow the team further) and take ownership of the team’s success, growth, and day-to-day operations. You will work closely with product and QA teams to ensure seamless project delivery while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, performance, accountability, and ownership.
What you will be doing :
- People Management : Conduct 1-on-1s, provide regular feedback, and perform performance reviews to help team members grow.
- Project Delivery : Collaborate with product and QA teams daily to prioritize and deliver projects on time and with high quality.
- Team Growth : Drive hiring efforts, onboard new engineers, and build a high-performing team.
- Process Improvement : Assess and enhance engineering processes to improve efficiency and team satisfaction.
- Foster a Collaborative Team : Model and promote effective communication within the team by setting clear expectations, encouraging open communication, promoting transparency, encouraging cross-functional collaboration, providing feedback and recognition, and promoting a positive team culture.
- Technical Leadership : Support engineers in debugging and troubleshooting, and provide technical guidance as needed.
- Ownership : Ensure the success of your team by recognizing and aligning each team member's personal goals and strengths with the team's objectives.
