Weekend Shift (Friday - Sunday) Warehouse Lead
Position Summary
Primary and overall responsibilities are to assign Warehouse associates to work order pull requests and ensure all work orders are pulled accurately and timely. Manage additional issues requested by Production and Sales, ensuring inventory is pulled accurately and timely. Manages daily staging in SAGE X3 ERP of all additional issues.
Responsibilities and Essential Duties
- Ensures all daily work order pulls and functions are completed, including:
- Preparation of all work order pulls (including printing and updating schedule).
- Labeling pallets.
- Pallet pulls and put-away.
- Email correspondence with Customer and internal personnel, EXT Schedulers and L.L.
- Work orders entered into SAGE X3, and customer portals accurately and timely.
- Ensures all work order-related pulls and inventory transactions are completed daily.
- Works cross-functionally with Production, Quality, and Sales (and all departments) to ensure smooth and accurate transfer of customer work order requests promptly upon Quality release.
- Leads the pulling team of Associates to maintain productivity and teamwork in completing all daily activities; expected to be a problem solver.
- Works seamlessly and collaboratively with inter-department personnel to ensure daily work order functions and transactions are completed accurately and timely.
- Follows and abides by the Company Employee Manual at all times.
- Assists Supervisor/Manager in holding department staff accountable for daily attendance according to the company policy.
- Assists in tracking, generating reports, and presenting adherence to KPIs. Weekly AI Metric, and Warehouse Productivity Metric.
- Adheres to KPIs established for department and ensures KPIs are met daily.
- Assists Supervisor/Manager in cross-training Pulling team to ensure the position/responsibilities have a minimum of 2 individuals trained, ensuring the daily duties can be successfully completed in the event of an employee's absence. Pullers must also learn put-away, SR, and CC.
- Assists Supervisor/Manager with special projects as needed.
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment at all times by following published SOPs and Work Instructions.
Technical Skills Required
- Scan gun experience.
- Experience with MRP/ERP software highly desired.
- Forklift Certified.
Experience Required
- 1 years in shipping, logistics, or warehouse role.
- Ability to read and understand formulas, procedures, and SOPs.
- Strong math and computer skills.
- Accurate and legible record keeping skills, with attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Complete other duties as assigned by the Supervisor/Manager.
- Able to manage multiple tasks on a daily basis. Ability and desire to learn more than just the basic responsibilities and duties, and able to guide others in the department on SOPs and Work Instructions.
- Ability to be trained in writing and implementing SOPs and Work Instructions for the department.
Physical Requirements (If Applicable)
- Able to lift up to 100 pounds or more, on an as-needed basis.
- Stand/remain upright for long periods of time.
- Bend, squat, kneel, turn, and stoop.
- Good eye/hand coordination.
- Ability to work with no direct supervision to accomplish assigned tasks.
- Able to handle stressful situations with coolness and calmness to resolution using experience.
