Job Description:
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our beauty supply store team. As a Cashier, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional customer service while accurately handling transactions. You will use POS (Point of Sale) systems to process payments, manage cash, and ensure a smooth checkout experience. Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Greet customers with a warm, friendly attitude. Assist customers with product inquiries and recommend beauty items when needed. Handle customer complaints or direct them to the appropriate supervisor.
- Transaction Processing: Operate the POS system efficiently to process sales, returns, and exchanges. Accurately scan items, calculate totals, and apply discounts or promotions. Process payments through cash, credit, debit, and mobile payment methods. Issue receipts, refunds, and change as needed.
- Cash Handling: Open and close the cash register, balancing cash and credit transactions. Maintain accurate cash drawer amounts and secure funds.
- Product Knowledge: Stay updated on current promotions, discounts, and new product arrivals. Be knowledgeable about various beauty and hair care products to assist customers effectively.
- Store Maintenance: Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies. Restock shelves and help maintain product displays as needed.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate transaction records and report any discrepancies. Prepare daily sales reports and submit them to the manager.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a cashier or in retail, preferably in a beauty supply environment.
- Proficiency in using POS systems and handling cash.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills and ability to handle transactions accurately.
